Meet AnnMarie Roth! She is an AAHA Certified Hand Analyst and Natural Therapeutic Specialist (NTS). She lives at the foot of the beautiful Green Mountains in Vermont, USA.

When and how did you start reading hands?

I completed my first level of training in 2010, after having my own hands read and taking part in an online and then a live hand analysis event (where I first met you!).  Then, in 2011 I started studying with you intensively and completed my certification through the AAHA last year (2012).  I added Certified Hand Analyst (CHA) to my professional portfolio because it’s a tremendously powerful tool that can guide people to their most meaningful and divinely aligned lives as they develop greater self-knowledge and self-love.

Are you specializing in any particular area of hand analysis? If so, what is it?

I work primarily with folks who haven’t found their sweet spot yet or who are getting ready for what’s next and looking for some insightful guidance.  In our work together we often spend time learning to befriend their Life Lesson, as so much personal and professional growth can come from that.  I also have a special affinity with people who have multiple, high ranking, Composite Whorls.  I completed my certification research project on composites and gain tremendous fulfillment in helping my clients who have them come to understand them better and thus develop greater compassion for themselves.

What is most meaningful to you about reading hands?

I think it’s the trust and intimacy of it.  As a healer, I can say that my work in general is intimate, yet with Hand Analysis, now after three years, that is taken to an entirely different level. When a client places her hands in mine she is allowing me to glimpse inside her soul, as well as her personal psyche.  Placing that amount of trust in me is humbling.

Has your life lesson ever shown up during a reading?  If so, how and what did you learn from that experience?

Gee, Left Saturn perhaps?  Of my two LLs, it’s Left Saturn that comes out to play when I’m preparing for a reading.  It loves to question my ability and my right to do what I’m doing. I look at it as another opportunity to embrace the lesson and to work to release it, if only temporarily, and to keep moving forward.  By the end of each reading, it has had to concede that it was wrong.

How do you apply your life purpose and your life lesson, in other words, how do you see them work together?

Because my LP involves composites, I’ve had to commit to working very consciously with my LLs in order to truly inhabit my purpose.   A willingness to acknowledge them and the courage to learn what they have to teach me in a given situation can make all the difference between living in alignment with my purpose and wallowing in the self-pitying misery of my lessons.  It’s a workout, I tell you!

Do you have a bad experience you can share to help others avoid a similar situation?

Here are my Life Lessons showing up..the only negative experience I can think of has been not taking advantage of opportunities to read hands.  I’ve read for people who don’t resonate with some aspect of their soul psychology or who are overtly skeptical, and it has always been ok; nothing bad happened and it said nothing about me or my abilities.  Letting my LLs talk me out of the chance to do this wonderful work, now that has been something to learn from.  For me, that lesson has been to keep doing the healing work I need to do so that my own LLs no longer prevent me from helping others on their own healing journey.

What advice would you give to new students of Hand Analysis?

Ask questions — there is so much to learn and there is no way everything will make sense the first time, so if something isn’t clicking, ask questions.

Realize that this is/can be a life long pursuit — there are always opportunities to learn more, so please don’t believe that you have to, or even can, master it all in a short period of time.  Richard Unger keeps learning more, and so do the rest of us.

What you can master in a short period of time, however, is tremendous, so start sharing what you already know.

Take the time to discover the best settings for you to share hand analysis with others.  You might enjoy it all, but you’ll likely find that you prefer one or two milieux, such as private, in-depth sessions, or the fast pace of events, or maybe even workshops, small or large.  You don’t need to do it all to be successful and to make a difference in people’s lives.

What intentions do you have for your Hand Analysis practice during the next six months?

My plan is to begin running more local groups out of my healing center here in VT.  I have a vision of lighting up my community with women who are stepping up to claim their Life Purposes and learning how to lovingly care for themselves so that they can live the fullest expressions of who they are called to be.
